I play a lot of games and I doodle a lot of dumb things. HOORAY!
Thanks for all your sweet messages~! I honestly felt like I didn’t want to bother with drawing any more ouat but you guys made me feel better =)
i’m not going to bother the twitter user over something small like this~ so don’t worry about it…i just gotta accept the fact that some people are going to be jerks, but you can’t blame a whole fandom of nice people over it.
So on twitter, a girl was using my capswan pic as her avatar and Jennifer Morrison (who plays Emma) told her it was cute and asked her where she got it and it became a convo!
On one hand I’m super jazzed that she complimented it…but on the other hand I’m a little bummed that no one gave me credit or let me know about it ._. I had to find out from the ouat tag. The pic on Twitter was edited so my sig doesn’t even show.
Hubs says it’s my fault for posting art on tumblr. ._. (Sulks off and thinks)
So if you want to purchase a shirt or sticker, now’s the time~! (It doesn’t have to be my stuff either, feel free to support other artists by purchasing their products!)
/end shameless self promotion ^_^
SO MANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS! I just compiled a list of what I am going to be reading when I get the time that you guys suggested:
To answer the other suggestions, I’ve already read them (i actually collected Tsubasa Chronicle, XXXHolic, Nodame Cantabile, and Yazawa Ai’s other works XD)
I’m so happy that there are so many other people who love Horimiya T_T It’s so underrated and it sucks that the author got a crappy animation deal so they only came out with a crappy looking OVA that was no where close to the quality of the manga.
OKAY I’M GONNA READ! Thank you!
Looking for new stuff to read! If anyone wants to recommend a good manga, I’d love to try it out~! I’m more partial to stuff with humor but good drama is awesome too. ^^
Here are some of my current favorites that I am following:
Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu
By the wonderful person who did Full Metal Alchemist, it’s about boy who enters an agricultural high school after failing to get into a prestigious prep school. I never thought I’d like a manga about farming, but it’s RIDICULOUSLY good…possibly better than FMA…*runs and hides*
One Piece by Oda Eiichiro
If you don’t know what this is…I…wuh…what kind of horrible sheltered life have you been living in? If you haven’t read it, at LEAST read the first few chapters. It’s been going on forever and Oda’s sense of humor still makes me laugh.
Oooku by Yoshinaga Fumi
About feudal Japan, it runs on the premise that a disease wipes out 75% of the male population, drastically reversing the roles between men and women and Japan becomes a matriarchal society. If you can get over the horrible translations (to make it look more feudal, the editors make everyone speak “ye olde english”) it’s REALLY good. Warning: there’s a couple of scenes of murder, rape, and incest.
Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu (I give my first love to you) by Aoki Kotomi
I know it’s been completed for two years but I followed this manga religiously while it was being released. It’s a story about a boy diagnosed with a heart condition and the doctors estimate his life would end when he’s in his teens. He begins to fall in love with his childhood best friend (who is his doctor’s daughter) and he struggles to distance himself from her because of his short life-span. I CRIED SO HARD WITH ALMOST EVERY CHAPTER. Read if you like that sorta thing.
Nana by Yazawa Ai
About to girls named Nana. Much drama. Much laughter. The author became ill and put the manga on hiatus since 2009. Yazawa Ai is one of my favorite authors and I hope she gets better soon…but I’m dying to know what happens. I kind of wish she would hire an artist to do the art and she can do the story, but I suppose since this story is her baby, she doesn’t want anyone else to touch it. =_=
Comedy/Slice of Life
Horimiya by Hagiwara Daisuke
A story about a popular high school girl who has no social life because she is always at home taking care of her little brother. Her real side is discovered by the nerdy loner in her class, who turns out to be a fashionable guy outside the school. It’s a super cute story and good read if you want a cute romance read.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My Little Monster) by Robiko
About a serious high school girl who has dedicated her life to studying who meets a quirky boy who has no concept of common sense. Lots of other characters who are super endearing. The manga is almost over~!
If you can suggest any titles for me to read, let me know! XD
i swear to gawd i didn’t know about the CS spoiler photo until after i posted my graphic, i was looking off a photo of the actors filming a scene in vancouver >/////<
|ristilukki said: I agree, 2s hairstyles are a lot better. If you're ever drawing something from Origins again, how about a campfire scene with Leliana playing music while other ones listen :3 That would be cute.|
i don’t draw cute well, but i’m amazing at drawing stupid! *posts something right after this*
